Above a certain age, everyone remembers life before the Internet.  But despite how life-changing its introduction was, for most of us, the Internet is still something we think of as linking laptops and smartphones to websites.

For some time now, a quiet revolution has been coming.  More and more "dumb" devices, or nodes, are being connected every day.  Doorbells, NFC readers, store beacons... the list goes on.  Kevin Ashton saw it all coming, and Gyoll interviewed him in 2016 about what a truly connected tomorrow will look like.
